The German food store was met by customers who claimed on social media they discovered turkey, duck and other meats had gone off before Christmas Day.The customers had insisted they had kept the meats in fridges.Aldi had announced they were shutting down their Customer Service office for two days over Christmas and Boxing Day before later issuing an apology.On Christmas Eve, the chain said on Twitter: “Our Customer Service team are taking a much deserved Christmas break.”They added: “However, don’t worry, we will soon be back to answer your questions or queries.”They sent the tweet along with a list of Customer Service office opening hours – showing they would be closed completely on Christmas Day, December 26, and will be again on New.
