Alan Brazil lifts lid on talkSPORT shake-up with Laura Woods set to replace breakfast host

Laura Woods is reportedly set to replace Alan Brazil as the new host of talkSPORT’s breakfast show. The Sky Sports presenter has been a regular stand-in for Brazil and, with the former Ipswich , Tottenham and Manchester United striker going into “semi-retirement”, Woods has been lined up to take over permanently.

Brazil has been with the station since it first launched in 2000 but will be taking a step back, only presenting his show on Thursdays and Fridays.

The 60-year-old has now confirmed the move in his Sunday Post column, writing: “After 20 years of early-morning starts, Monday to Friday, that's me entering into semi-retirement with talkSPORT. “From this week, I'll only be assaulting the airwaves on Thursdays and Fridays. “But I'll
