A young dad who collapsed while serving food to some friends now cannot walk or swallow due to a rare disorder. Ben Williams, 26, collapsed suddenly one evening and was taken to hospital.

The dad from Llanpumsaint, Carmarthenshire, Wales, was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder (FND), Wales Online reports.

FND is a rare medical condition which affects the nervous system and also how the brain and body send and receive signals. Ben, who runs his own plumbing company, was unable to blink or control his bladder and lost complete mobility in his body.
