murder investigation was launched after police were called to 'reports of a disturbance' at a terraced house on Carnforth Street, Rusholme in the early hours of Tuesday.
Officers found a man in his 50s 'unresponsive' and 'collapsed' on a sofa.Paremedics were called but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.The victim has been named locally as Leroy Handley.Mr Handley is thought to have lived on the street for a number of years.One neighbour described him as 'such a nice guy'.He added: "He always said hello when he walked past.
