Mikel Arteta has overseen Arsenal's worst ever start to a Premier League season. The Gunners have lost three successive games at the Emirates and slumped to five reverses in total.
It means they have amassed their lowest points total at this stage of a season as they languish in midtable. Arteta was under no illusion of the task that faced him when he took charge in north London.
He wasted no time in bringing in new faces during the summer, capturing the likes of Gabriel and Thomas Partey. But the pair, impressive as they are, cannot fix all of Arsenal's problems and they may have to turn to the transfer market once again come the New Year.
