Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
Marc Malkin Senior Editor, Culture and Events Zoe Saldaña admits she’s “worried” about what will happen on Election Day. But she refuses to lose any hope. “I am worried,” Saldaña told me Tuesday at the Los Angeles premiere of “Emilia Pérez.” “But then again, I was also worried in 2016…Of course, I’m scared and worried, but, I have faith that we’re going to choose a leader that best represents who we really are as human beings.” While Saldaña didn’t explicitly state for whom she is voting in November, she did publicly endorse Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president, respectively, in the 2020 election. “I also have a lot of faith in my nation, in America,” she added. “I have a lot of faith in people in the world.
I know that more people than not want to be on the right side of history…We spend so much time judging and not enough time loving.
At the end of the day, I don’t want to understand everybody and their decisions. I just know that I need to make room for everybody and their choices, and that’s super important and that has to do with the deep level of respect that I have for people, and I can only hope that others are feeling like me, you know?
I have no other choice but to be this way. I’m a mom, so I’m raising kids to be hopeful and loving and kind and gentle and non-judgmental.” Harris has received tremendous support from the entertainment community in the upcoming election against former President Donald Trump.
