Zayn Malik returned to the stage for the first time since the tragic death of his former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne.

Zayn, 31, had previously postponed the US leg of his Stairway to the Sky Tour following Liam's untimely passing in Argentina last month.The heartbreaking news left Zayn devastated and forced him to delay the start of his debut headline tour as a solo artist.

After performing in Leeds on Saturday (23 November) and ahead of his Sunday show in Manchester, Zayn took to Instagram to express his gratitude to his fans.

He shared a series of snaps from the concert, captioning them: "Thanks LEEDS ! ! for an amazing first night! See you tonight MANCHESTER." This comes after he honoured Liam with a heartfelt message that was projected onto the stage during his performance.
