The investigation into Liam Payne's death in Buenos Aires has moved forward after a judge's decision to rule herself out of the probe was reportedly overturned. The One Direction star's death is currently being looked into after the 31-year-old feel from the third floor of his Argentina hotel room and died on October 16.
Earlier this week, public prosecutor Andres Madrea argued for Judge Laura Bruniard to continue her investigation into the three suspects after the judge claimed that the case should be investigated by local prosecutors instead of national prosecutors. This was due to one of the allegations being that Liam had been abandoned before his death, according to The Mirror.
Andres Madrea argued that the judge's decision was "premature", with a higher court ruling in favour of the prosecution and reinstating Laura Bruniard on the investigation. The decision could allow the number of suspects to grow, with prosecutors reportedly considering bringing manslaughter charges against hotel employees who were filmed carrying Liam from the lobby to his hotel suite.
The appeal win also paves the way for the possibly arrest and incarceration of one of the three men, who were placed under formal investigation over Liam's death last month.
