Zayn Malik has had to deliver some unfortunate news to his fans after having to cancel a performance in Newcastle at the last minute.The "Pillowtalk" singer, who is amidst his highly anticipated Stairway to the Sky solo tour, which featured stops in cities including London and Manchester, was set to impress fans in Newcastle.

But alas, a tannoy announcement broke hearts mere minutes before he was supposed to take the stage on Tuesday night at Newcastle City Hall.

Staff members informed the crowd with heavy hearts: "Will no longer go ahead tonight. We apologise for the late notice, it was his hope that he would be able to continue with the show.

But this is no longer possible. Please contact your point of purchase for reschedule or refunds. If you have parents or guardians collecting you, please stay in the auditorium and wait to be collected."
