When she first saw a doctor about the problem they told her it was a blocked saliva gland.But by February the painful swelling in her jaw was the size of a tennis ball and she was told she needed a shopping list of scans and treatments including a biopsy and an MRI scan.The beginning of lockdown meant that three of her crucial appointments were delayed or cancelled.It was only after a second biopsy that the diagnosis was confirmed.
