Billionaire Fred Done has submitted fresh plans for his controversial glass tower in the Northern Quarter in the latest twist of a long-running planning row, the M.E.N can reveal.
Salboy, the bookie's property firm, has submitted yet another application for the site opposite Shudehill bus station on Back Turner Street that was bought in 2017 - despite already having permission to build flats.
Previous plans were knocked back by Manchester Council's planning committee three times due to their height and design. But Salboy was granted for a 17-storey skyscraper last summer despite venomous objection from critics.
