Yellow weather warning for Scotland as heavy rain and severe flooding 'could cause power cuts'

flooding across parts of Scotland.Two bands of wet weather are set to sweep over two bands of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.The first affected area stretches from Stranraer in the very south west of Scotland, through to Peebles and down to Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders.The second area to be hit with torrential downpours starts in Argyll and Bute and runs through to Dundee in the east while going as far north as Pitlochry and the surrounding areas.Forecasters warn that heavy rainfall may lead to flooding as well as potential power cuts and disruption to public transport.A spokesperson said: "We should expect spray and flooding that could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."Delays or cancellations to train.
