A woman has died in hospital two days after a car hit her mobility scooter.Emergency services were called to Main Street in Baillieston, Glasgow, after reports of a crash at around 2pm on Friday, June 28.
A 58-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.Police Scotland confirmed the woman died from her injuries on Sunday.
Her family has asked for privacy.The driver of the car, a 77-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.Officers locked down the road for five hours after the tragic incident.
An image from the scene showed police blocking off the road with two ambulances parked in between them.Another showed tape cordoning off the road beside a nearby Lidl supermarket.
