Firefighters fought to free a trapped motorist following a horror smash on the M8 in Renfrewshire yesterday.Three vehicles were involved in the dramatic incident that saw the motorway closed at junction 27 westbound as emergency service crews rushed to the scene.Eyewitnesses reported seeing a car on its roof on the section of the busy motorway between Arkleston and Hillington yesterday afternoon.Firefighters had to use special cutting equipment to free one person trapped in a vehicle.
