WME Sports has hired veteran NFL agent Brian Ayrault away from CAA to get into the on-field athlete representation business.
The Hollywood agency until now has represented marketable football players off the field as they sought entertainment and endorsement deals.
But Ayrault — who has represented NFL stars like Aaron Donald, Joe Burrow, Joey Bosa and Nick Bosa — is set to lead WME's football business as he continues to work for star players preparing for the league draft or needing new contracts.
During the pandemic, WME said Ayrault while at CAA negotiated $350 million in NFL player contracts, including a lucrative new deal for Bosa, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, and an NFL contract for Burrow, the LSU star quarterback and number.
