saThousands of stores have been told to close their doors as coronavirus continues to sweep through parts of the UK, claiming 563 lives in the past 24 hours alone.
However, in line with Government guidelines, those who provide vital supplies to the public can continue to trade on the high street.
These include supermarkets, petrol stations and hardware stores, as well as dry cleaners, pet shops and newsagents. But despite being granted permission, Poundland has today said it's closing 100 branches, while retailers including Tk Maxx and the Perfume Shop have now closed their online websites.
