The pink vest - 'unwashed and full of muck' - was pulled out of a bag of 'filthy' items that the charity had collected from someone's door.
Sharing photos of the unwashed clothing on social media, Wood Street Mission said 90 per cent of the contents of the bag had to be binned.
In an angry Facebook post, the charity, which has been dedicated to improving the lives of children in Salford and Manchester for more than 150 years, urged people to think about what they're donating.
