Premier League clubs are unable to take part in homelessness charity Shelter’s #NoHomeKit campaign, which asks football clubs to wear their alternate strips to raise awareness for rough sleeping and unsafe housing, due to existing kit rules.
The charity initiative is asking teams across the country to wear either their away or third kits, including those playing at home, on Boxing Day and December 27. Why aren’t Premier League clubs taking part? Shelter sent a detailed presentation to top-flight clubs due to play at home on December 26, which included the proposal that players would then sign their unused first strips and auction them off to raise funds.
