AFTER 15 years of drama on Albert Square, it's no surprise Jake Wood needed a break. Having been away from Walford for over a year, the 50-year-old has no plans to return - despite it being his most recognisable role.

He says he took the part because it was "probably the best play I'd ever read". When it comes to new projects, Jake admits being a dad of teenagers means he'll think twice about more risqué roles - despite his buff body.

He says everything has to be "right for all of us" - but that hasn't stopped him showing off his ripped physique on Instagram, which he puts down to running marathons.
