I knew that when she has a good idea, she commits.So I agreed. We paid £15 each, and put a date in our diaries for the first handover.It wasn’t the first time I’d shared clothes.

Ever since a friend and I went halves on a tweed flat cap during the ‘ageing groundskeeper’ trend of 2002, I’ve used clothes as a currency of affection.
