The UK is currently in its fifth week of lockdown, and it’s showing no sign of easing up. Strict measures were put in place on March 23, which meant that people can only leave their homes for a very limited number of reasons, and have to follow strict social distancing guidelines.
Last week it was announced the coronavirus lockdown would be extended for at least another three weeks. Yesterday, as the number of hospital deaths rose above 18,000, Health Secretary Matt Hancock informed that the UK is “at the peak” of the coronavirus outbreak.
But the health secretary added that the social distancing measures would not be relaxed or changed until the Government’s five tests are passed.
