As reported, the 49-year-old will step down from his position at Old Trafford at the end of 2021 after tendering his resignation amid backlash from the highly-controversial European Super League (ESL) breakaway proposals.
Manchester Evening News understands Woodward, who was appointed to the role in 2012 and became the club's de facto CEO a year later, could even leave United this summer.
