Gary Neville is still delighting in the news that the European Super League project has fallen flat on its face, and that his beloved Manchester United will no longer be in it.
Sky Sports pundit Neville was one of the fiercest critics of the plan for the 'Big Six' Premier League clubs to break away and join the new league, and both he and punditry partner Jamie Carragher laid into the rebels when it had become clear they were intent on signing up.
Given the fierce and correct criticism from fans, players, managers, media and government, all six club owners eventually backed down and were forced to withdraw with a series of humiliating statements on Tuesday evening.
