Manchester United fans continued their renewed campaign to oust the Glazers with a plane protest at Elland Road. Over 1,000 fans gathered outside Old Trafford on Saturday, calling for the club’s American owners to go because of their role in the aborted European Super League.
And supporters paid for a light aircraft to trail a banner over Elland Road at the start of their match against Leeds, saying '2bn stolen – Glazers out'.
United’s part in the hugely-controversial breakaway plan has rekindled fans’ opposition to the Glazers and they are determined to drive them out following Ed Woodward’s resignation this week.
