Manchester United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was one of many former teammates to wish him good luck for his short spell in the dug-out at Old Trafford.

Van Nistelrooy was placed in interim charge on Monday afternoon after Erik ten Hag's sacking. He guided the Red Devils to a 5-2 win over Leicester City in the EFL Cup and will oversee the next three games.
