Manchester United are on the verge of sealing a £40million deal to sign Donny van de Beek, who has earned some rave reviews in European football over the past few years.
Van de Beek, 23, is expected to leave Ajax for United in the coming days, with the Red Devils’ chief negotiator Matt Judge agreeing terms with him on Sunday amid late interest from Tottenham.
The Dutchman has developed into one of the continent’s most promising midfielders in recent seasons, gaining plenty of admirers during Ajax’s run to the 2018/19 Champions League semi-finals.
