Brendan Rodgers has been mooted as a possible managerial replacement for under-fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Manchester United started this season in blistering fashion against Leeds but their Premier League title hopes are already in tatters after 11 games.
The dust has yet to settle on that heavy and humiliating 5-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool. However, after coming under fire in the aftermath of that result, Solskjaer remains in post despite an equally-alarming 2-0 reverse against Man City in the Manchester derby.
