The move will see Lingard, who has been starved of minutes this season, join the high-flying Hammers for the rest of the season, subject to contract.
West Ham will pay United a £1.5million loan fee for the 28-year-old, while also picking up his £80k per-week wages in full. M.E.N.
Sport reported earlier this week that the Irons have been the only team to show a concrete interest in Lingard. It's understood that Sheffield United were keen on the England international, but there were reservations about the financing of a potential loan package.
