Wesley Sneijder insists he could have become as good a player as Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. But the Netherlands legend admits he "didn't feel" like making the sacrifices the two superstars have made in order to dominate the game for the last decade.
Nonetheless, Sneijder enjoyed a glittering career for club and country. He was a key figure in Inter Milan's historic treble-winning team from the 2009/10 season and scored 31 goals in 134 Netherlands appearances.
The former attacking midfielder also won honours with Ajax, Real Madrid and Galatasaray before hanging up his boots last year after a season with Qatari side Al-Gharafa.
