I'm not really sure of the minimum distance you need to travel from home for it to feel like a holiday. Driving just over an hour from Manchester I wasn't sure it would be quite long enough to seem like 'a proper break'.

We might have had lots planned, but anyone with kids knows how much they love their home comforts and how disastrous it would be to not have Netflix or be able to charge their phones.
