Bernard Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is an American politician who has served as the junior United States Senator from Vermont since 2007 and as U.S. Representative for the state's at-large congressional district from 1991 to 2007. He is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, although he has a close relationship with the Democratic Party, having caucused with House and Senate Democrats for most of his congressional career. Sanders unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and 2020.

Chuck D and Public Enemy Radio performed at Senator Bernie Sanders’ rally in Los Angeles last night, where they played classics like “Fight the Power,” “Can’t Truss It,” “Bring the Noise,” “Shut ’Em Down,” and more.

Sarah Silverman and Dick Van Dyke were also present at the event. During Public Enemy Radio’s set, Chuck D was vocal about the importance of voting. “Voting is [as] important as washing your ass in the morning,” he said at one point.

Find video from the rally below (Public Enemy Radio start around 39:13). On Saturday, Flavor Flav’s attorney sent the Sanders campaign a cease and desist letter for advertising the rally with materials that allegedly used Flav’s likeness and trademark clock necklace without his permission.
