Detectives are hunting a kidnapper after a man was bundled into a van that raced the wrong way up a busy highway. Cops are searching for the driver of the vehicle who led a dramatic convoy police chase through east London in broad daylight.
The Met Police say the victim was kidnapped outside an address in Newham. About 11.44am Thursday police were called to reports of a man being taken from a car and bundled into a blue Citroen Berlingo van that drove off with him inside.
Onlookers alerted the police who began hunting the van. The Met said officers were given authorisation to launch a pursuit, and began chasing the vehicle through east London.
