Though the discussion surrounding “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is a bit disappointing, as the film largely failed to live up to fan expectations, as well as just being a not-so-great way to end George Lucas’ 40+ year Skywalker Saga.
But one thing that has come out of that project is the rise of the film’s second-unit director Victoria Mahoney, the first woman and the first Person of Color to act as a director on a “Star Wars” project.
