torrential downpours are on the way as the Met Office extends its yellow weather warning.The initial warning ran from Sunday afternoon until Monday morning, but another alert has been issued and is in place until this evening.A second alert is in place for thunderstorms, to begin at 12pm today until 10pm, with "scattered torrential thundery downpours" impacting those in the highlighted areas.Residents may see flooded roads, disruptions to public transport, and lightning strikes.In some places, there may also be power cuts due to adverse weather.It comes after Brits endured a miserable washout weekend, with areas in the south west and far south seeing more rain.Now, the lightning storms are forecast to go on for even longer and leaving.
