weather this week, according to the Met Office which forecasts disruptive snow, rain and glimmers of sunshine for Friday morning.England and Wales felt the full force of 86mph winds on Wednesday and Thursday as a train derailed in Kent, lorries toppled over on the road and power cuts plunged some Brits into darkness.Up to two inches of snow is set to blanket parts of Scotland until 10am before 'wintry showers' most likely wash it away, turning ground dangerously icy.

Residents have been urged by the Met Office to only leave the house with caution as injury is possible from slips and falls icy patches of untreated surfaces, the Mirror reports.
