Heavy rain, hail and thunder are expected to continue across Britain as washed out June continues. Temperatures will remain average with highs of 23C in the south over the next couple of days, but this will be marred by plenty of unsettled weather.
BBC forecaster Tomasz Schafernaker said "towering" clouds, thanks in part to the low pressure hanging over the UK, will mean rain, and mixed with the humid air will bring storms. "The light winds will mean that the storms will be very slow to move, perhaps sometimes sitting in one spot for a considerable length of time," he said.
