Temperatures are set to plunge next week, with a band of rain bringing the glorious sunshine to an abrupt end. As May draws to a close, June is forecast to see a new area of low pressure approaching the UK.
With it will come cooler and unsettled conditions, and the mercury could even drop to single figures in parts of the country by the end of the week.
By mid-week, temperatures in Scotland are set to hover between 11 to 17C, a drop of more than ten degrees from Friday's 28C scorcher.
