mirror.co.ukA 200 mile-wide 'Dutch delight' heat thrust will give Britain an autumn beach weekend nudging 26C - hotter than the Mediterranean.
The Met Office forecast highs jumping from 23C to push 25C on Saturday and towards 26C – that's 7C above average - on Sunday amid warm air from Holland, weather maps show.
This could trigger an out-of-season rush to the coast after millions were unable to enjoy 31C heat on Tuesday due to being at work and school.
Britain will be hotter than 24C Barcelona, on the Mediterranean. Even the North is due 20C. The Met Office forecasts long sunny spells for most through the weekend and into next week, with just scattered showers in the South late tomorrow and easing by Sunday morning.
