Brits are set to scorch in a 31C heatwave as the weather takes a major u-turn in the coming days. Despite dipping temperatures today, with the mercury expected to remain in the teens across the UK, the weekend will see the heat quickly building.
The Met Office is predicting 25C on Sunday before Monday and Tuesday see highs of 31C in a huge turnaround with autumn on the horizon.
The sudden heatwave is being put down to warm air arriving from the Continent and will be felt prominently in southern England.
