Britain is set to be washed out by heavy rain through into the weekend amid 70mph gusts as what could become Storm Aiden moves in.
Despite a relatively tranquil Tuesday, compared to what's to come, the rain will really bed in by the evening setting up a "thoroughly wet day" tomorrow, according to BBC forecaster Helen Willetts.
Today there's just the one flood alert in place in East Anglia from the Environment Agency, but Brits can expect many more as the days go on - with up to three inches of rain likely in parts of Scotland on Wednesday.
If the winds remain strong enough to warrant an amber warning from the Met Office, then Storm Aiden will be named as the first of the season.
