Danger to life warnings have been issued for the next two days as torrential rain hits parts of the UK. The Met Office has issued amber warnings for areas in Scotland where persistent heavy rain is expected to bring further flooding.
A warning says homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings. It adds fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life.
An amber warning has been issued for Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian & Borders where strong southerly winds are also expected to hit.
A yellow warning is in place for the Scottish Highlands. The warnings are in place on Tuesday and Wednesday. A yellow warning for Northern Ireland has also been issued for Tuesday.
