There's no respite for battered Britain with winds are expected to hit 60mph during a 'washout weekend'. Weather warnings could even be issued over the next few days with rain affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland and north-western parts of England and Wales.
The weekend will start unsettled with rain at times and temperatures at around 14C. Strong winds are ready to batter Britain with strong gales of up to 60mph on the way - and Western regions will feel the brunt of it.
Yet overnight on Saturday rain will shift slowly south-eastwards, affecting Wales and much of England. Sunday doesn't get much better with rain in Wales and much of England, while Scotland and Northern Ireland will be mostly cloudy with showers.
