The UK has unleashed a £1.6billion nuke-powered submarine that can track enemy vessels from as far as from the English Channel to New York in the US.
HMS Audacious is one of seven Astute-class attack subs that have been built with the new addition to the Royal Navy being photographed on its first outing this week.
Some 39,000 anti-acoustic tiles help the 320ft, 7,400-tonne submarine move through the water without making more noise than a baby dolphin.
Onboard nuke reactors, with a 25-year life cycle, create air and water meaning the sub can move around the globe without once needing to resurface.
