UK 'could miss trillion pound economy boost' if it fails to support asteroid mining

Mitch Hunter-Scullion, 25, set up the Asteroid Mining Corporation in March 2016 just after he completed his University dissertation entitled 'The Case for Asteroid Mining: Examining the economic and political benefits to be gained from mining in Space'.

Mitch's company recently discovered Asteroid 1986DA, which could be worth trillions, and he's hoping to launch a mission to mine it in 2027.

And now he says that with more support from the UK government his company could help boost the country's economy with "several thousand" jobs and potentially lucrative revenues.But the government says plans are already afoot to test the feasibility of space mining, and has the Luna.
