Two people have been left with 'life-threatening and life-changing' injuries following a horror crash in Tameside. Police were called to Talbot Road in Hyde at around 5:30pm on Sunday (December 1) following reports of a 'serious collision'.
Fire crews cut two people from a badly damaged vehicle before they were rushed to hospital with 'life-threatening' and 'life-changing' injuries.
Officers are now appealing for more information following the crash. Detectives believe the vehicle had crashed into a perimeter wall of an industrial building, causing extensive injuries and 'significant' damage to the car. In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "At approximately 5.30pm on the evening of Sunday 1 December 2024, police were alerted to a serious collision on Talbot Road, Hyde. "Upon police arrival one vehicle was found with extensive damage and two people with life-threatening and life-changing injuries. "Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) were on hand to extract the driver and front seat passenger from the vehicle and NWAS treated them at the scene before taking them to hospital for treatment, where they remain. "With initial investigations carried out, it is suspected that the vehicle had crashed into a perimeter wall of an industrial building, which caused significant front and near side damage.
