A man who started losing his hair aged 18 says getting a hair transplant renewed his confidence. Matt Lawson, 26, who spent more than £8,000 on a hair transplant at the age of 25, has spoken out about how his life has improved since his procedure.
Lawson had more than 2,800 grafts to restore his hairline after it started receding while he was studying business psychology at Northumbria University, aged just 18.
The tech company account manager said he would spend 30 to 40 minutes rearranging his hair each morning prior to the transplant, which cost £8,200.
Matt, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, said: “I knew that I was probably going to need a hair transplant for quite a long time, my family genetics are not great when it comes to hair. “My dad is bald, my uncle is bald, I’ve got a family history of that.
