Two men have been rushed to hospital this evening after a horror crash which saw a car flipped onto its side in Tameside. Emergency services were scrambled to reports of a crash on Chappel Road in Droylsden at around 9pm on Thursday (September 14).
Fire crews said two cars had collided and damaged a streetlight and barrier. Two men were assessed at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said, “At 9pm this evening, firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Chappel Road in Droylsden. “One fire engine from Ashton fire station quickly attended the scene, which involved two cars that had crashed causing damage to street furniture.
Two male casualties were assessed at the scene by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) before being taken to hospital. “Colleagues from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) cordoned off the damaged area while firefighters liaised with Tameside Council to arrange removal of the damaged streetlight and barrier. “Crews were at the scene for around an hour.” Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for more information.
