Eddie Howe doesn't want to face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup but insists his Newcastle side can come away from Old Trafford victorious.

Newcastle booked their place in the fourth round with a hard-fought 1-0 win at home to Manchester City on Wednesday evening, Alexander Isak scoring the only goal of the game.

After beating the favourites, Howe's side will fancy themselves to get all the way to Wembley, as they did last season. But if they are to reach a second consecutive final then they will have to beat last season's champions, having been handed a tough away day at United in the next round.

It's as tough as it gets for the Magpies in two rounds but Howe insists his side will be confident they can record another big cup win.
