Holidaymakers hoping to jet back to Manchester after their break away on the Greek island have now been left desperate to return home after being sent a number of emails outlining sudden cancellations to their flight back.
It comes after thousands of flights were cancelled across the globe, with many others delayed as airports worldwide were forced to do check-in and boarding manually.
The outage led to the failure of online check ins, while some departure screens at airports stopped working, resulting in a build-up of delayed flights and cancellations.
