Manchester Airport has ‘exceeded targets’ when it comes to accessibility for passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility.
The airport has received a ‘good’ rating for its accessibility performance in a report published by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The watchdog praised the airport for its ‘improved performance’ regarding wait times, which it achieved by increasing “the number of staff and equipment in its operation”.
The report added that in this area the airport “regularly exceeds our targets for a ‘very good’ standard in this area”. The Civil Aviation Authority sets targets of 20 minute wait times for passengers with booked assistance, and 40 minutes for people who haven’t booked.
